Vintage Fashion could well be a middle name for Belgian designer
Verlaine, yet the inspiration, love and a perfect eye for Vintage
Fashion is hidden within her name. Based in Antwerp with
a private showroom and an extended worldwide network to find almost
any original known and less known vintage designer piece
Verlaine offers services to buy or sell, research, inspire
and suit all needs of the moment, any location or event.
Early in her career, Verlaine traveled widely, from Paris to Los Angeles to London,
assisting on film sets, styling and doing costume design. Eventually tough,
she returned to Paris to study at the Studio Bercot, having decided that
she wanted to pursue fashion full-time. From there, the Belgian designer took
stints at Martine Sitbon and at Guy Laroche during the Albert Elbaz era,
handling the showrooms and helping out with the runway shows. She also
worked on a secondary knitwear line for the latter,
under Michael Herz,
currently the designer for Bally
As a forerunner of the vintage movement, her first boutique/gallery
incorporated a vintage collection and a original women's wear line
by Verlaine. The Verlaine collection was presented
at New York fashion week and sold at Jeffries New York
