Escada Vintage Hand Embroidered Embellished Jacket

Escada Vintage Hand Embroidered Embellished Jacket
Escada Vintage Hand-Embroidered & Embellished Jacket , Attributed to Margaretha Ley or Ella Singh
An exceptional vintage jacket featuring two elaborate peacocks across the front, showcasing extraordinary hand embroidery, intricate beadwork and dense embellishment.
Dating this remarkable piece is difficult to establish with certainty; based on its construction, embroidery and overall aesthetic, it could date from the 1970s, 1980s or 1990s. The jacket was originally purchased from SN3 in Antwerp, a renowned high-end fashion boutique at the time, known for offering prestigious designer labels and exceptional, fashion-forward pieces.
The original brand label is unfortunately missing, so the attribution to Escada / Margaretha Ley or Ella Singh cannot be confirmed. A German fabric label stating “100% Seide” (100% silk) remains attached.
The exceptional craftsmanship, elaborate hand embroidery, extensive embellishment and quality of construction suggest this was a special, high-end garment rather than a mass-produced piece. The dramatic peacock motif, shimmering sequins and sculptural silhouette make it a particularly striking collector’s piece.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with expected signs of age and wear consistent with a hand-embellished vintage garment.
